BOYS

Coach: Bob Weckstein

2019-20 Record: 10-16

Last season was something that the Frontier Mustangs are not accustomed to. After having three straight seasons with at least twenty wins, they ended the season with a 10-16 mark. But longtime head coach Bob Weckstein says that he is ready to see what this season holds, even though he is not sure what he has. “We have a lot of inexperienced players,” he said. “There are a lot of question marks on our squad but I am still very optimistic to see what happens.” Guard Chandler Sanders (5-9, Sr) is the player with the most experience on the team. He averaged five points, two assists, one rebound, and one steal a year ago and will be leaned on to produce more this season. A hard and tough worker, Derek Bible (5-9, So) has the potential to be a big time player for the Mustangs. He will look to increase on his three point and four rebound average last year. Allen Brown (6-7, So) will continue to learn at the post position this season. He has worked hard this offseason and will try to make a big impact for his team this year. SOMETHING TO WATCH - The last boys basketball state title for the Mustangs came when they three-peated from 2004-2006.
